June 22nd, 2025 to June 28th. From Solomons, MD to Cape May, NJ. We traveled 218 miles this week, bringing our total to 1,206 miles so far. We made our way up the Chesapeake Bay, through the C&D Canal, and down the Delaware Bay to Cape May, New Jersey, where we will travel outside in the Atlantic for two days next week on our way to New York City and the Hudson River.
May 17th, 2025 to May 21th. From Hampton, VA to Solomons, MD. We traveled 105 miles this week, for a total of 924 miles so far. We traveled 1 day. The rudder post repair seems to be working well. The small drip we were having has stopped. We had our batteries replaced in Solomons and enjoyed getting readjusted to sleeping on the boat.
June 8th, 2025 to June 16th. Another long week of waiting; however, after 30 days out of the water, we finally got the boat back! We held off on publishing the blog until Monday, so that we could share the good news!
Next week, we continue our trip, with our first stop in Solomons, Maryland, to catch up with some friends and pick up the new batteries that we never got to while we were in Hampton.
June 1st, 2025 to June 7th. It was another week of keeping ourselves occupied in Hampton, VA. We got to do a bit of sightseeing and had some local excitement with helicopters landing on the roof next door. We got to visit with some old friends, and hope to catch back up with them soon. Progress is finally being made on the boat! The old fiberglass is all cut away, and the new layers are being laid in. We hope to be back in the water by the end of next week.
